What this site covers

Austin Coworking is about one thing: finding a good place to work when the office isn't one you commute to. We cover what a coworking membership actually buys — hot desks, dedicated desks, private offices, and the community that comes with them — the cafe-as-office culture the city runs on, and the neighborhoods that suit remote workers. We write about how to choose, not where you have to go.

Why it exists

Austin turned into a remote-work town faster than its advice caught up. People move here for the jobs, the climate, and no state income tax, then find themselves deciding between a desk downtown, a membership on the East Side, and the coffee shop on the corner — with no one laying out the real differences in plain terms. That's the gap this site fills.

How we work

Every page is built to be useful first. No pop-ups, no paywall, no autoplay. We write our recommendations in our own words, from our own read of the scene, and we do not republish anyone else's rankings or compiled lists. When we draw on a source, we link it and move on. Prices here are general ranges meant to set expectations, not live quotes — always confirm current rates with a space directly.

Who publishes it

Austin Coworking is part of the WholeTech Network, an independent Austin, Texas publisher that has been building websites since 1996, starting with one of the city's first online communities. The network spans more than a hundred sites, each focused on a single subject, all running on one server.
